Gently floating, fleeting..
I wanted to do some custom porcelain ornaments for family and friends..and possibly anyone who would want one. I'm very pleased with how they turned out. To order your own, visit my shop!

Today my buttons were on the most adorable blog with the most adorable name--Yellow Bird, Yellow Beard. Thanks so much, Janee! You made my rainy Thursday much brighter.

I'm not sure where October went to...it scurried off around the corner with me stupidly chasing behind it. I kind of said the same thing about September, so either time is speeding up or I'm getting slower and can't deal. This past week I've been cranking on the clay and making pots, bowls and ornaments. I promised myself I was going to MAKE this Holiday season and not wuss out. But I had to sneak a pot in the kiln last night just for fun. I based the form on a sake box and made it from brown stoneware with under glaze decoration . This sucker is substantial! I can't wait to fill it with a little soil and a plant.

Holly Jolly? Not quite? Yeah, me neither. But now's the time to start making. This new Laguna porcelain and I are becoming fast friends. Not as pure white and deliciously translucent like Frost, but it doesn't crack at every nook and cranny, either. And it still *tings*. My favorite part.
Little planter pots, perfect for gift-giving.
No baking or wrapping required.
Just pop in bit of soil + a wee succulent, and you're good to go.

Some new-ish things warm from the kiln..
Small ceramic tags with bamboo cord ties.
The combinations of design/color/clay are endless. A perfect kiln-filler, too.
Squatty planter pots (with little feet!) perfect for succulents.
A bit labor-intensive for production right now, but hopefully they will go faster as I get more skilled at making them!
